Dear Colleagues & Fellow Boardgamers,
We all have our own Christmas traditions, and as content creators, we have ours as well. For me, it is an annual Christmas puzzle used to share holiday greetings with you, dear readers. I draw on some of my favorite games – both recent releases and timeless classics – to create a unique postcard.
This year again it will be a special puzzle as we are going to connected it with a giveaway! Together, with Cube4Me, a great producer of tailor-made storage & sorting solutions for wargames, we prepared some gifts for all participants of the quiz!
So how does it work? Couple of rules:
- Look at the picture below (you can click on it to enlarge in the new window a high-resolution version); identify as many wargames as you can.
- Submit answers preferably via CONTACT ME page; that allows me to easily identify you later and send the gift should you be drawn!
- What counts is participation; you just need one correct answer (easily doable, I hope?) and you are eligible for a giveaway
- You can submit your answer through January 3rd 2026.
- On January 4th 2025 with Marcin from Cube4Me we shall draw three winners; the prizes will be three discount coupons (respectively 50$ / 30$ / 20$) which you can use for their storage solutions.
- A hint – there are 14 games on below picture. 12 are New Releases from 2025. 2 are all-tiem classics. Double R’s are one game. That should help 🙂
And that is it! So welcome to the puzzle and good luck!
Enjoy!
Regards,
Michal (The Boardgames Chronicle) & Marcin (Cube4Me)

Merry Christmas! I was looking forward to the puzzle 🙂
I think anyone in the hobby can identify at least one game (looking around on your blog will certainly help), but only the most knowledgeable grognards will get all of them! (I certainly didn’t.)
I’d love to know where the E counters come from – I love a good army-level East Front game! Guess I’ll find out in January 🙂

Thank you Clio, glad you have fun with my puzzle 🙂
As for E, small hint: this is form non-wargames publisher who issued their first Wargame this year… and they are from Poland…

Aaah, I figured it out. Guess that makes it technically not an East Front game… at least there is more to it than just the East Front 🙂

I have no idea on almost any of these, but I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family!
