Today I am presenting Poland ’39, a newly released wargame from Trafalgar Editions. Designed for two or three players, the game assigns one player to command the Polish Army, while the others control the German and/or Soviet forces, depending on the chosen setup.

This title offers an engaging strategic-level perspective on the joint invasion of Poland in 1939 by Germany and the USSR. It includes multiple scenarios, variants, and optional rules, providing a solid amount of replayability. More on that soon.

In the material below, I discuss not only the game’s components but also explain the core mechanics, victory conditions, and the design decisions intended to reflect the historical realities.

Enjoy!
