As I write those words, the crowdfunding campaign for Armed Conflict is in full swing (link above). This time I would liek to present to you guys the game components and talk a bit about the rules.

However, let us first answer the question what kind of product it is? We have here a war-themed strategy game that lets you command military units of different type and size in a conflict between two alliances, the Lions and the Eagles. The main focus is on the military strategy and tactics. The game is not based on any particular conflict or historical event, but the timeframe is loosely based on modern warfare, any time after WW2.

What I like is fact that Armed Conflict offers a sandbox-like environment for testing out military strategies and tactics, giving maximum replayability. The game comes with a double sided board, with two different maps. Each of the maps include hexagonal areas of different terrain, such as fields, forest and hills, which all give different benefits in the battle, based on real world military science.

The base version of the game will have also some new additions on which author is working, namely Air Force and Air Defense as well as Supply & Logistics plus Solo Mode. I am really looking forward to the final product here!
