Savannah, Monmouth, Pensacola, Germantown – Great Battles of American Revolution from GMT Games

The highlight of the month! We feature four sets for Mike Miklos Great Battles of American Revolution – Volumes IV, V, VI and VII – namely Savannah, Monmouth, Pensacola & Germantown. Those low-counter titles, with beautiful maps, straightforward main system and interesting special rules for particular battles to spice-up the experience, are wonderful wargames, hitting the sweet-spot between the complexity and enjoyable experience.

Rest assured this is not the last word as far as titles form this line are concerned. As I am writing those words, another batch of sets is being prepared. Make sure to check the details below for the solutions presented today:

How the Union Was Saved from Strategemata

Another title focusing on American history – this time Secession War. How the Union Was Saved is the strategy-level game depicting the clash between the Union and Confederacy. It is published from Polish company Strategemata. The solution is simple, straightforward and elegant, allowing to fit everything in small game box.

The details can be checked below:

Granada: Last Stand of the Moors – 1482-1492 from Compass Games

Granada is astonishingly beautiful title from Compass Games about Moors last stand on the Iberian Peninsula. It has several types of components in large quantities and as such is a bit a challenge to properly store. Thus I am really glad that we managed to design a set in a way that all cards, wooden components and counters fit nicely into the box!

More details on the set here:

One Hour World War II from Worthington Publishing

One Hour World War II is a really fun team-based wargame to play. Quick, replayable, strategic level with some great Optional rules. It features a large storage solution already in the box; however I prefer the small, compact one which I created using just one Cube4Me tray.

Additional set details in below link:

Combat Commander Mediterranean from GMT Games

I am glad that we are able to add new products to Cube4Me trays portfolio – this time it will be extra-deep Card Holder (29 mm height, 82 cards capacity) which works perfectly for games like Combat Commander Mediterranean. As this is the third set in the Combat Commander series which we prepared, we have good and practiced way of sorting all three nations counters plus allowing space also for the auxiliary components.

The beautifully crafted set looks like this:

Hoplite from GMT Games

Great Battles of History are always a counter-intense games. Hoplite – while pretty small in comparison to some larger titles like Alexander or SPQR – still needs a special, dedicated and verified treatment – especially in light of the fact it has pretty shallow box. We succeeded again and are proud to present solution which allows for a full lid close:

Conclusion

I am happy that I still have the energy to pursue this side project alongside my regular blog and YouTube work. It is genuinely fun, and every time I succeed in creating a robust, custom-made, and perfectly fitting set for a counter-heavy game, I feel proud and fulfilled. So rest assured – more sets are definitely on the way!
