Let us have a check of what new developments in the area of storage and sorting solutions for our beloved titles happened in the last two months. We will focus of course on the Cube4Me products and sets; just a reminder, you cand find all of them here:

In this article we shall not only focus on the new solutions for various games, but also new products! Yes, Cube4Me recently launched new line of the trays (Counter Storage Trays – CTR), dedicated to counter-intense titles, where finding that one, particular piece is of key importance. One such set we share below. Enjoy!

Pacific War by GMT Games

Pacific War is by far the most popular wargame set on Cube4Me page. Not surprisingly – this is super counter-intense game, with tons of individual tokens for ships, planes and land armies. Storing is a challenge, but sorting and finding the needed counter – even more!

That is why the newest set, based on Cube4Me’s Counter Storage Trays, was created specifically for this game. All the components, all the counters (over 2000!) you will position on 11 trays with easy access to EACH INDIVIDUAL piece. This is the most sophisticated solution so far designed and produced and we are really proud of it!

Make sure to check the details – you will have two options; first, the old one which is a bit more cheap; and now the new one using Counter Storage Trays – more expensive and at the same time, with completely no lid lift:

I, Napoleon by GMT Games

I admit, I had a lot of fun in my multiple games of I, Napoleon. Still, for the game to be played flawlessly you need all those cards – for the various years and decks (General, Consul Emperor) properly sorted and ready to be added to main draw deck. The set of 9 card holders – plus one tarot-sized for all the counters – does a splendid job here.

That all fits nicely into the box. The details can be checked below:

Navajo Wars by GMT Games

A classic game from Joel Toppen gets a proper treatment as far as storage solution is concerned. The approach is pretty standard, 1 Tray for Sorting All Game Components & 3 Trays for Sorting Cards. All of this fits perfectly in the shallow box.

Wing Leader: Supremacy 1943-1945 by GMT Games

I really appreciate the Wing Leader series created by Lee Brimmicombe-Wood. The level of detail, the variety of planes, the beautiful representation of them – makes it a true feast for any fan of aerial combat games. However, to sort all those counters and cards we really had to experiment a lot in order not only to sort them, but simply fit into the box!

I strongly suggest to check how we distributed all the pieces in several trays:

Halls of Hegra from Tompet Games

Halls of Hegra is a unique title; you command a group of Norwegian volunteers fighting numerically superior German forces in the early days of WW2; this is game of desperation, last stand and sacrifice. It has several types of components – from cards, through counters to wooden tokens. The amount of space is limited so again, it took several approaches to find the perfect set.

Check out how does it work in practice:

Crusade and Revolution: The Spanish Civil War 1936-1939 from Compass Games

We all love Path of Glory series, don’t we? The Crusade and Revolution: The Spanish Civil War 1936-1939 – published from Compass Games – is a very interesting twist to the system. And as such, contains tons of tokens and cards. The set divides the counters into two trays – one for Republicans, the other for Nationalists. The cards are separated by the era of war. That all makes the set-up of the game pretty quick and intuitive.

The full set with detailed pictures is presented here:

Conclusion

I am glad that I still have energy to continue with that side project to my usual “blogging” or “youtubing” activities. This is fun and every time I manage to design some robust, tailor-made and perfectly fitting set for counter-intense game I am simply proud and satisfied. So rest assured, more sets will come!
