Some time has passed from the last update discussing the developments in storage and sorting solutions by Cube4Me and I thought it would be good time to bring the most fresh news to you guys. We will talk a bit about new products which Marcin is preparing but also some new, great sets for your favorite games.

A gentle reminder, you can find all the wargaming tray sets (shipment world-wide), nicely sorted per company or time when they were designed and added to the webpage here:

As for the new products, we will have a teaser today (which somehow you already might have seen on social media) – we are preparing a completely new type of trays, which will help to sort the counters for all those games where you have hundreds, if not thousands of them and you need to find that one, specific and unique one. That will really help with games like Pacific War or Great Battles of History. Stay tuned!

And now let us jump to details for some of recently added sets – enjoy!

Fields of Fire: Deluxe Edition by GMT Games

A a new, beautiful, improved and enhanced product we all were waiting for – Fields of Fire: Deluxe Edition. We are getting a lot of content here: rulebook, manuals and scenario books, tons of counters and cards, multiple player aids. It is really not easy to pack all of this inside – and do it in a way which will allow for the lid to nicely close. The above set fits perfectly into the box and allows for proper storage of the content. I am also going to create short video which will present how to pack everything.

Make sure to check the details:

Congress of Vienna by GMT Games

This was definitely easier set to construct than Fields of Fire. In Congress of Vienna – as we have four factions – their components were divided between four trays for quick usage and set-up. The rest of the counter is in the shallow 3×4 tray; on top we have several holders for multiple cards used in game.

That all fits nicely into the box. The details can be checked below:

The Other Side of the Hill from NAC Wargames

Here comes another very demanding space wise title – The Other Side of the Hill. We have multiple types of components here – cards, cubes, tokens, counters, you name it. And you need only some of the for various scenarios included in the box, so storage is one question but proper sorting is even more important. I am glad to say that we created the set here which really nicely fits into the box and allows for its full closure!

More details on the set here:

Old School Tactical: Volume 1 – Eastern Front 1941/42 from Flying Pig Games

As you can see, the storage and sorting sets we create are not only for new, fresh titles but also for some classics. We are aware that you already might have some baggies or other means to keeping all the components for the game together. However, with the Old School Tactical we believe that the usage 3 by 4 compartment trays allows for the best way to sort all the combat tokens.

I strongly suggest to check how we distributed all the pieces in several trays:

No Peace Without Spain! series from Compass Games

Here comes the trilogy – No Peace Without Spain! (I am aware there are two more titles, but we start with initial three). Here the sorting and storing is not a difficult task. The true issue was the size of the boxes – and how shallow they are. It took me some time to experiment with them and in the end the large but shallow trays were mainly used.

Check out how does it work in practice:

Thunder in the East from Victory Point Games

Monster games are usually a real challenge when creating the storage solutions. How to keep all those hundreds if not thousands of counters easily accessible? For Thunder in the East the idea was to use one of the newest Cube4Me trays – large 3 by 5 compartments ones. they perfectly hold both large and small counters used in this game and requires relatively few layers so almost all counters are visible – either from front or bottom.

The full set with detailed pictures is presented here:

Conclusion

It is really fun to get back to this project after several months of relative hiatus. The fun with creating those storage sets is great – I will be honest, I like my games and their components nicely sorted out 🙂 And the fact that we can share with broader community those great ideas and help others – is very much satisfying.

Stay tuned – we will pretty soon have some new great ideas available! Thank you!
