I am excited to invite the Dear Readers to yet another update about Cube4Me products – new sets and storage solutions for our favorite boardgames. However, before we dive into those new products and describe them, showing beautiful pictures as always, let me share a big news – the Cube4Me just hit 3rd anniversary since its beginning and due to this starts a big sale!

…surpassed already 300 products! The promotion will last for about two weeks, form August 20th till September 2nd. Now, let us see what new solutions did we get!

Julius Caesar by Columbia Games

So, if the game is a great classic to which probably many people already created their own solutions, it can’t get a new set? Well, I must admit that I was thinking about Julius Caesar for a long time but only with arrival of deep, tarot-sized card trays I was able to create a feasible, usable and very elegant product. The issue was even bigger due to many blocks in this title – you really need to wrap your head around to do it in a way which will make sense, allow for proper sorting and storage. But here it is – definitely check it out!

For the People by GMT Games

Here it comes – another great classic, this time form Mark Herman – For the People. Still we have here a completely new, refreshed, 25th anniversary edition. But rest assured that proposed card holders (and that game has HUGE number of them) and counter trays (just to sort the smaller components) fits the 3-inch box perfectly. Also, they should be possible to use with the previous editions.

Baltic Gap: Summer 1944 by MMP

Monster games are always a challenge to create proper storage solution. But on the other hand – they are the titles which needs such sets mostly. I am proud from many such which I designed (Pacific War or Great Battles of Julius Caesar to mention just a few among them) but here, with Baltic Gap, we had a specific problem.

Not sure to what extent are you aware guys, but box for this game is completely non-standard. And I mean it – the regular, 4×5 Cube4me trays would not fit. So I had to experiment with 3×4 – and managed to get a decent, usable set.

SPARTA! Struggle for Greece by Plague Island Games

Even the most beautiful games from Kickstarter, which have a lot of storage solutions already incorporated into them, benefits greatly from several card trays to sort and store their components. That is exactly the case with SPARTA! Struggle for Greece, which while nicely creating the space for cards or commander tiles, requires baggies (or like here – small hard holders) for both factions cubes, regional bonuses as well as

FAB: Golan’73 by GMT Games

Those are usually one of the more challenging sets – where you have a lot of blocks, a lot of counters plus tons of maps or cardboard components limiting number of trays you can fit into the box. This is exactly case with FAB: Golan’73. In such cases you start set creation from checking WHAT can be put into the box so it closes, before deciding HOW you are going to distribute all those small pieces. That requires of course some experimenting, but in the end we are usually – liek here – are getting perfect set.

Skies Above the Reich by GMT Games

To say that the box for Skies above Reich is filled to the brim would be an understatement. The box closes with minimal, half millimeter free space – but it closes. And how beautiful all those planes blocks and cards looks like in their proper trays – I am really proud of what was achieved here. Hopefully that will serve you well guys!

Conclusion

I am really glad to see that the Cube4Me not only achieved 3rd anniversary but it develops nicely, broadening not only number of titles but also its scope – from 18XX games, through various types of trays, game components and wooden pieces up to wargaming sets. And why not use opportunity and do yourself a present – especially if you can get a nice discount? Enjoy!
