We start another month so let me briefly summarize just finished April and provide latest updates from the storage solutions front. As always, we shall focus on newly added titles and solutions which appeared on Cube4Me page. This time I would like also to ask you for your requests regarding further sets – the more interest, the more probably particular title will get a dedicated solution.

Rebel Fury from GMT Games
Rebel Fury by Mark Herman from GMT Games is a low-to-moderate complexity wargame focusing on the campaigns of the American Civil War. This is Volume 1 in the series and focuses on four 1863 campaigns (Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Chickamauga, and Chattanooga) and the opening of Grant’s 1864 drive toward Richmond (The Wilderness and Spotsylvania). I find this game as a great mix of new mechanics, straightforward game-play as well as exciting resolutions of the battles.
This is definitely set I was asked for so many times during last few weeks that I had to design it 🙂 The storage solution is very neat and encompasses one deep tray. That allows for perfect sorting of all components – as you might see, each battle has two compartments for Confederate and Union units. Hope you will enjoy it!

Dune: Imperium Uprising from Dire Wolf
Dune: Imperium Uprising is a standalone spinoff to Dune: Imperium that expands on that game’s blend of deck-building and worker placement, while introducing a new six-player mode that pits two teams against one other in the biggest struggle yet. But that is not all. You will be able to use Spies for various actions or learn the Freemen ways and ride mighty Sandworms into battle. The game board was also reworked, adding a bit more balanced choices.
I know, I know – this is not a wargame but rather conflict-type Eurogame, blending couple of mechanics. Still, it gives me so much fun and enjoyment – and has tons of components – that I decided to create dedicated storage solution. It is not only for holding the cards, but each player has its dedicated starting set. The set-up is much quicker than and the game – pleasure!

Flashpoint: South China Sea from GMT Games
Flashpoint: South China Sea is a two-player strategy game that simulates the complex geopolitical contest currently taking place between the United States and China in a disputed region of the South China Sea. The game is driven by a card deck that captures developments ripped straight from today’s headlines, bolstered by cards with a context-setting reading of recent history, and a set of speculative cards capturing a diverse range of potential future events.
That small gem deserved a simple but elegant solution long time ago and I finally had time to do it (and actually get the game!) The idea is pretty straightforward – the Event and Scoring cards are getting their own trays while elements – all of them – a separate one. Small, neat but functional. Enjoy!

Fire in the Sky: The Great Pacific War 1941-1945 by Phalanx is a strategic board game that encapsulates the pivotal moments of World War II’s Pacific theater. Players command military forces, navigate historical events, and vie for dominance across the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean. With its immersive gameplay and attention to historical detail, “Fire in the Sky” offers an engaging experience for both history enthusiasts and strategy game aficionados.
That Pacific War theater game is not so counter-intensive like other titles covering that topic but still, two large, deep trays are full of US, Allied and Japanese ships, planes and armies. It give me a lot of pleasure designing that particular solution as components are beautiful and it was simply fun. Enjoy the set!

Yes, I am Ben Madison fan and do not hide it 🙂 His games usually have whole bunch of tokens which will fulfill various function – it is very important to be able to have them all properly sorted, as looking for a particular force / marker / counter can be very time consuming. Also, having in mind small (shallow) box, you need proper tray to fit in. All of this in that solution!
